I C E L A N D (continued) - Trying to take you on the journey in order this is still at our home-base just outside of Selfoss - it's the view from our front deck. It never did actually get dark, I think this was taken at 11:30pm; This time of year, after the sun "sets", it stays so close to the horizon that the sky remains light for the 3 hours until it rises again. It really does mess with your head, but was VERY cool to experience.
First up is our initial home-base just 15 minutes outside Selfoss and a 10 minute drive to Thingvellir National Park (where 2 tectonic plates are diverging). We had an awesome little red house on a hill with an insane view - a great place to call home and venture off from.
